

Since its establishment as Japan’s first mortgage bank*1 in 2001, SBI Mortgage has offered services including the industry’s bottom level “All term fixed-rate housing loan”. The services are used by a large number of customers. The housing loans outstanding is over 916.6 billion yen*2 as of the end of March 2011.
While we have performed operations mainly in Internet-based direct sales so far, we are now focusing on expansion of face-to-face sales channels such as deployment of SBI housing loan shops. The 101 shops opened by the end of October 2008. Deployment of bricks-and-mortar shops will provide consulting services not sufficient in the Internet-based services and wide range of services including application and contract procedures on a face-to-face basis.
As a leading company of mortgage banking, SBI Mortgage makes efforts to develop commodities from the customers’ standpoint and aims to keep providing housing loans at the lowest level interest rate in the Industry as well as an environment in which a housing loan tailored to the needs of a particular customer is available.
