July: Morningstar Japan K.K. was merged with Gomez Consulting Co., Ltd.
May: Kuala Lumpur Representative Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was established
April: Hong Kong Depositary Receipts of SBIH’s common shares listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
February: Concluded equity swap agreement to convert SBI VeriTrans Co., Ltd. into a wholly-owned subsidiary

2010

October: Hanoi Representative Office in Hanoi, Vietnam, was established
September: Moscow Representative Office in Moscow, Russia, was established
July: Accepted the capital increase of Korea Technology Investment Corporation, a South Korean company listed on KOSDAQ, through a public offering, and converted this company into a subsidiary
June: Accepted the capital increase of KTIC Global Investment Advisory Co., Ltd. (currently “SBI Global Investment Co., Ltd.”), a South Korean company listed on KOSDAQ, through a third-party allocation of new shares, and converted this company into a subsidiary
April: SBI Futures Co., Ltd. was merged with SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd.
February: Sold all shares of SBI AXA Life Insurance Co., Ltd. to AXA Japan Holding Co., Ltd.

2009

August: Basic agreement with HIKARI TSUSHIN, INC. for joint operations of the venture capital business of HIKARI Private Equity Inc., a subsidiary of HIKARI TSUSHIN, INC., by transferring a portion of its venture capital business along with fund execution rights, etc.
August: SBI Futures Co., Ltd. became a wholly owned subsidiary through a stock swap
June: SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd. and Nippon Investors Securities Co., Ltd. concluded a business transfer agreement
June: Established joint venture Wall Street Journal Japan K.K. with Dow Jones & Company
April: SBI VeriTrans Co., Ltd. launched “Buy-J.com,” a Japan EC (e-Commerce) mall targeting China
March: Internet sweepstakes website operator Kensho TV subsidiarized by stock acquisition

October: Established SBI PRIVATE EQUITY Co., Ltd., which operates debtor-in-prossession (DIP) financing funds in South Korea
October: "Japnnext PTS" operated by SBI Japannext Co., Ltd., started the daytime trading
September: Phnon Penh Commercial Bank Limited, which is jointly established with Hyundai Suisse Group (Korea) in Cambodia, received approval from the finance authority, and started its operation on September 1
July: Established SBI Liquidity Market Co., Ltd., which offers market infrastructures with garanteed liquidity of FX trading and high convenience to financial commodity brokers
July: Established SBI AutoSupport Co., Ltd., which provides financing for buyers of used cars, as a joint venture with JAPAN AUTOMOBILE AUCTION INC.(JAA)
July: SBI E*TRADE SECURITIES Co., Ltd., changes its name to SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd.
May: Established SBI ALApromo Co., Ltd. as a research company to conduct product design, development and marketing of medicine, health foods and cosmetic products that include "5-aminolaevulinic acid (5-ALA)" as active element.
April: SBI AXA Life Insurance Co., Ltd. obtained the life insurance license from Financial Services Agency and commenced its business on April 7, 2008

December: SBI Insurance Co., Ltd. obtained non-life insurance license from Financial Services Agency and commenced its business on Jan 16, 2008
November: Increased equity investment in Autobytel Japan Co., Ltd. (currently Autoc one K.K.), making this company a consolidated subsidary
November: SBI Graduate School obtained approval of the establishment from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
: SBI Fund Bank Co., Ltd. commenced its business as a financial products broker focusing on trust assets, putting SBI E*TRADE SECURITIES Co., Ltd. as belonging financial products broker
October: Merged with SBI Technology Co., Ltd.

December: Reached agreement with China's Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd. to jointly launch a Renminbi(RMB) based fond in China
November: Established SBI Jpannext Securities Preparations Co., Ltd.(renamed SBI Japannext Securities Co., Ltd. in March 2007 upon receipt of securities business license) for the launch of a new Proprietary Trading System(PTS)
October: Established SBI Life Insurance Plannning Co., Ltd. with AXA Japan Holdings to prepare for the launch of life insurance operations
September: Established wholly-owned subsidiary SBI MACAU HOLDINGS LIMITED in Macau(China)
August: Reached basic agreement with The State Bank of India Group, India's largest commercial bank, for joint establishment of a venture capital fund to invest in unlisted Indian companies
August: SBI Holdings, Inc. purchased its stock held by majority shareholder SOFTBANK CORP. via its subsidiary, and is no longer an equity method affiliate of SOFTBANK CORP.
August: Listed Gomez Consulting Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Morningstar Japan K.K., on the Hercules market of the Osaka Securities Exchange.
May: Listed SBI FUtures Co., Ltd. on the Hercules market of the Osaka Securities Exchange.
March: Finance All Corporation and SBI Partners Co., Ltd. were merged. SBI Securities Co., Ltd. became a complete subsidiary.
February: SBI Guarantee Co., Ltd. was established to engage in commercial transaction guarantee operations.
February: JCNLAND, Inc. and SBI Accounting Co., Ltd. were merged.

2005

November: The stock of JCNLAND was acquired to become a subsidiary.
November: SBI Life Partner was established to provide lifestyle information services.
November: SBI Business Support was established to engage in outsourcing (general affairs, personnel, call center) for SBI Group companies.
October: SBI Children's Hope Foundation was established to improve child welfare and to help children grow into self-reliant adults.
October: An office was established in Beijing with resident employees. Main activities include local operations related to business in China and information collection related to the Chinese market.
October: SBI CAPITAL Co., Ltd. became a complete subsidiary through an exchange of stock.
July: Changed name to SBI Holdings, Inc. Transferred asset management business to SOFTBANK INVESTMENT CORPORATION, and moved to a holding company system
June: Established SBI Card Co., Ltd., a credit card business subsidiary
May: Established NEW HORIZON FUND jointly with a Singapore investment company to invest in promising Chinese companies
March: Established SBI BB Media Investment Corporation Limited Liability Fund (SBI BB Media Fund) with Fuji Television Network, Inc. and Nippon Broadcasting System Inc. to invest in content and media businesses, with SBI VENTURES K.K. (currently SBI Investment Co., Ltd.) as the management company
