SBI Japannext

Management of Proprietary Trading System (PTS) to Offer New Trading Opportunities to Investors

SBI Japannext

SBI Japannext established in November 2006 aims to enhance the convenience of investors in the stock market and create Japan's first full-fledged PTS (Proprietary Trading System) market to which plural securities firms are connected. SBI Japannext started the nighttime PTS trading “Japannext PTS” in August 2007, and also started its daytime trading session in October 2008. Our business is not a traditional securities business to transmit an order from a customer but a business to match the orders from customers on our system to make stock trading in an attempt to offer more opportunities of stock trading to investors.

With over 20 major domestic and foreign securities companies now par ticipating in trades, “Japannext PTS” has become the second-largest trading market in Japan next to the Tokyo Stock Exchange. We will widely call for participating in dealing to securities firms to gather more liquidity in order to expand the justice as a PTS market and further convenience.
