In May 2015, SBI Clearing Trust was registered as a custodian-type trust business for the purpose of protecting the assets of participants in FX trading, and has been striving to maintain stability in the entire financial market by improving risk management functions in the FX market.
The company has also been working on providing its own unique services, such as the establishment of a clearing function, which is a function to receive and pay (settle) foreign exchange gains and losses that occur between market participants through a trust account, and the introduction of immediate trust as a measure to reduce time lag risk, while exercising the trust protection function and placing the fundamental theme of "safety and certainty" at the core of its management.
In order to advance its services, SBI Clearing Trust obtained an investment-based trust license in March 2021. By utilizing the know-how cultivated through the protection of FX margin, the company will support the customers' operations by ensuring the safety and liquidity of users, such as the preservation of "money" deposited by crypto asset exchange companies from users and the operation of negotiable certificates of deposit based on the intentions of consignors, while further seeking to increase new consigners.
SBI Clearing Trust will continue to strengthen cooperation with other companies in the SBI Group, seek to provide new fiduciary assets and value-added services, and make further efforts to create an environment where customers can trade with peace of mind.
